This portfolio provides more information on a sample of the diverse range of projects undertaken by Sharpe Ecology

Ripley-Codnor Link Road and Housing Development. Amber Valley Council/Urban Green. 2013-2014

£8m road scheme to connect the A610 between Ripley and Codnor for Amber Valley Borough Council. The scheme included for 600 homes, an extension to an industrial park and a doubling of the recreational space.

Worked as the ecology lead on all protected species surveys - bats, badger, newts, reptiles, water voles, white-clawed crayfish and breeding birds. Production of outline mitigation plan and Ecology and Nature Conservation chapter for Environmental Statement.



Compstall Mill, Stockport. Urban Green. 2014

Hydro electric power scheme generated from the River Etherow, as part of the redevelopment of Compstall Mill into 121 residential units and high quality commercial space. Extended phase 1 habitat survey with protected species - breeding birds, fish and badger surveys.



Kempsey, Worcestershire. Lioncourt Homes Ltd. 2014

Phase 1 and protected species surveys (birds and bats) and provision of Ecological Appraisal report to accompany outline planning application for 30-house development.



Eckington, Worcestershire. Poole Phillips Associates. 2014

Detailed bat surveys and provision of report to accompany planning application for small-scale residential extension and refurbishment.



Basingstoke/London. Network Rail/Transport for London/Arup. 2012-2013

Production of Ecology & Nature Conservation chapter for Environmental Statements of two schemes.

Review of existing ecological information and of provision of Ecology BREEAM report for one scheme.



Congleton, Cheshire. Urban Green. 2013

Provision of statement regarding bats and attendance at planning hearing in response to an enforcement notice for the demolition of a building and attendance at planning appeal.



Northwich, Cheshire. Thor Chemicals/Urban Green. 2012-2013

Preliminary Ecological Appraisal, badger surveys and mitigation strategy in relation to the extension of an existing tank farm and development of a new production hall.



Lower Broadheath, Worcestershire. Countryside Consultants Ltd. 2013

Preliminary Ecological Appraisal and protected species surveys (great crested newt, reptiles, breeding birds and badgers) and reports for planning application for three-house development.



Newton Street, Manchester. M. Rana. 2012

Ecological appraisal and BREEAM ecology report for proposed refurbishment and conversion of multi-storey building to boutique hotel.

Detailed breeding bird surveys in relation to planning application for large-scale solar farm.
