Preliminary Ecological Appraisal of undeveloped plots within and adjacent to an existing business park in order to inform and assist with the provision of a Local Development Order to allow implementation of new development.
Site in Gloucestershire. 2016 - 2017
Preliminary Ecological Appraisal, protected species surveys (bats, birds, white-clawed crayfish, reptiles) and ongoing ecological advice in relation to proposed development of a brownfield site for commercial and trade use. Involves close working with design team (architects, landscape architects, planners and building contractors), detailed design of bat mitigation, production of working method statements and watching briefs for site clearance works.

Preliminary Ecological Appraisal, protected species surveys and liaison with design team and non-statutory consultees to inform scheme design for a new caravan park. Protected species surveys included bats, reptiles, breeding birds, polecat, great crested newt eDNA survey and invertebrates (dragonflies).

Detailed bat, reptile and grassland surveys of a Norman castle (scheduled ancient monument) to inform timings and working methods of renovation and repair works. Provision of detailed working method statements and watching briefs during key works.

Bat roost characterisation surveys and EPS mitigation licence for five species of bat (including lesser horseshoe maternity and hibernation roost) to allow repair and renovations works to a Grade II listed 17th century farmhouse.

Biodiversity assessment providing recommendations for opportunities for biodiversity enhancement and involvement of the local community and schools in managing and improving the biodiversity value of a cemetary. Provision of reptile presence/absence surveys for new car parking on plot of land adjacent to the cemetary.
